The main objective of the programs hosted by the Italian Cultural Centre Delhi is to familiarize the Indian public with some of the most significant features of Italian society. Thus they make appoint to make the entry to these evens free. The organization is a part of the worldwide non-profit organization created by the Italian government and was established in India in 2002. The one-storey centre, hidden by high boundary walls & creeper plants is an aesthetically pleasing architectural model of yellow Jaisalmer stone.

Situated at Nyaya Marg, on the road just behind Shanti Path, the interior of the centre is warm with the basement acting as the exhibition & events hall. A library with a whooping collection of around 8000 + different books, CDs, DVDs, CD-ROMs & other media related stuffs is situated on the first floor of the building. While the ground floor is covers two beautiful lawns, a reception, a reading room, a conference & multimedia hall which runs weekly film shows with seat capacity of 120 people. All recent updates about the Italian cultural centre is put up on the notice board near the reception, for easy reference by its stuff, members and students.
