The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is a prominent cricket venue, located in Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is one of the largest cricket stadiums in India.  This beautiful stadium is surrounded by the picturesque Cubbon Park, Cubbon Road and uptown MG Road. Situated in the heart of the city of Bangalore, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium has been a proud host of a great number of domestic and international cricket tournaments. Previously known as the Karnataka State Cricket Association stadium, the ground was later renamed in the name of Mr. M. Chinnaswamy. Mr. M. Chinnaswamy had rendered its services to the KSCA for four decades. He also remained the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India from 1977-1980. The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium boats of a seating capacity of 55,000, and it regularly hosts Test cricket, One Day Internationals and other First-class cricket matches. Owned and operated by Karnataka State Cricket Association, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore can easily accommodate more than 50000 people during a match. Before being rechristened to the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore has been a proud host of a large number of matches in 1987 and 1996 Cricket World Cup. In the year of 1987, one group match was hosted in this stadium while in the year of 1996 five nail-biting World Cup Matches were played on this ground. Four matches were played on M.
