Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium, Pune is one of the most prominent cricket venues in the Asian country of India. It hosts a great number of domestic and International Cricket Tournaments. Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium is also known as MCA Pune International Cricket Centre and has been host to several memorable national and international cricket matches.  It is one famous cricket ground located at Gahunje near Pune, India. Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium serves as the home stadium for the Indian Premier League team Pune Warriors India and Maharashtra Cricket Team. With India having the largest cricket enthusiasts in the world, the Maharashtra Cricket Association felt a strong need to have a new lavishly grand stadium in the state of Maharashtra. Hopkins Architects of London was commissioned the task to design a new 55,000 seat stadium in one of the most prominent cities of Maharashtra, Pune. Following years saw the establishment of an architectural marvel, the Pune International Cricket Centre. Built on a sprawling area covering 125,000 square meters, the stadium boasts of a seating capacity of 55,000 people. The stadium and the seating arrangement have been designed in a manner that an unobstructed and continuous view is assured from each location. Apart from a cricket venue, Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium also houses a squash, badminton and swimming area.
