As a donor, India has been associated with Save the Children since pre independence day. Since then Save the Children India has been actively involved in the upliftment of the underprivileged Indian children for a brighter tomorrow. The organization works to expose and prevent exploitative child labour practices. It also has child labour prevention programs in areas like West Bengal & Bihar where child trafficking is rampant. Save the Children India makes provisions for children to join school in order to prevent child labour as well as in building a promising future for themselves. The NGO is well aware of the bitter fact that children are the worst affected victims of any natural disasters, thus it works to ensure their right to survival and development after an emergency by providing immediate support as well as by training the little ones to resist critical situations during natural disasters.

Save the Children India's main mission is committed to preventing exploitation and all other forms of discrimination of vulnerable women and children, and empowering them to lead a life of dignity, self-respect, and independence. Jet Airways, Big Bazaar, TATA, Pantaloons, Axis Bank, HDFC, Western Union, Mahindra, Accenture and few others are its partners who lends a helping hand on the path to envision India as a child friendly nation. Whether it was underprivileged children, destitute women, or victims of natural disasters, the NGO ensures that it did everything in its capacity to help these individuals lead more dignified lives.
